2019 Higginsville Country Fair Princess Contest

Saturday, September 14, 2019 – 3:00 p.m. - Davis Theatre

Entry Fee: $15/participant, payable to PI NU by September 1, 2019, with completed entry form.

Age Divisions (as of 9/1/19) – if a princess from the previous year is moving up in age group they are eligible to participate.

5-6 years 7-8 years    9-10 years11-12 years13-14 years
No entries above Middle School

All contestants must attend a school in Higginsville and will compete in modeling both casual and formal wear. Contestants may obtain a sponsor; however, this is not required. The emcee will announce all sponsors during the competition.

For all competitions, the judges will be looking for overall appearance, personality, stage presence and self-confidence. The contestant with the highest score in her age division will be crowned princess. Runners-up will receive a banner, and all contestants will receive a “goodie bag” and a participation medallion!

Audience admission will be:
$3 for adults
$2 for children under 12
Children 3 and under are free

2019 Higginsville Country Fair Miss & Young Miss Pageant

Sunday, September 15 • Community Center • 6:30 P.M.

The pageant is for girls grades freshman in high school through freshman in college.  Those 15 years old and younger as of August 1, 2019, will compete in the Young Miss Division.  Those 16 years old and older will compete in the Miss Division.

All contestants will compete in personal interview with the judges, speech or talent and evening gown.  Contestants in the Miss Division will also answer an on-stage question.

Special awards will be given in each age division for Community Service, Scholastic Achievement, Miss Congeniality, high score in the interview competition and high score in the evening gown competition, top speech & top talent.

There will also be a Miss Photogenic competition sponsored by Pure Life Photography.  Those individuals entering in this competition will receive a free photo sitting and a free 8x10 photo to use as their entry.  Only photos taken by Pure Life Photography are eligible for the Photogenic competition.  Those wishing to compete should contact Pure Life Photography at 660-584-7873 and have their photo taken by September 3, 2019.  The winner of the photogenic competition will receive another free sitting and 11x14 print (which must be taken by December 31, 2019).

REGISTRATION DEADLINE is 4 p.m. Tues, September 3.  COMPLETED ENTRY FORMS must be turned in at the Higginsville Chamber of Commerce office (1813 N. Main St., PO Box 164,  by Hoflander Ford) ON OR BEFORE THIS DATE.  You MUST submit a photo (snapshot or school photo, NOT PHOTOGENIC ENTRY) along with your entry form for publication in the newspaper.
